Identity Management Cooperation between Beta Systems and ipg AG
  • Beta Systems extends user management product portfolio

  • Better role-based rights management than ever

Berlin, February 26, 2009 – Beta Systems Software AG and the Swiss ipg AG – information process group agree to close collaboration. In the area of role-based rights management, Beta Systems now draws on the rolmine engine of ipg AG. This decision to employ the most mature solution on the market allows Beta Systems to help its customers, especially large companies with many users, to greatly simplify security administration and role management.

Security solutions from Beta Systems enable the management of all IT users and secure access to systems and resources. The cross-industry solutions minimize operational costs and ensure that internal and external IT security policies are consistently adhered to. “The comprehensive security product portfolio facilitates automation of all key IT user management processes. rolmine supports this process from initial role definition through to ongoing optimization,” explains Kamyar Niroumand, CEO of Beta Systems Software AG. “IT users are allocated precisely the access rights they need for their work – no more and no less.”

The technologically leading rule- and role-based administration concept, combined with the centrally managed, highly efficient SAM Jupiter solution, results in transparency all the way down to the business process level. And ipg AG’s rolmine provides the perfect tool for defining roles. Orphaned accounts or unauthorized access rights are easily identified and remedied. This helps to significantly reduce the tasks associated with access rights administration. The application can be installed on Windows or UNIX platforms.

“Organizations have to deal with constant change and thus require their IT to become ever more flexible in terms of managing access rights. rolmine not only supports the initial process of bundling access rights to enable role-based rights administration; together with Sam Jupiter, it also allows customers to implement their frequent organizational changes at any time, efficiently and at low expenditure,” says Hans Noser, CEO of ipg AG.
