More than 30% of IT help desk calls are related to the resetting of lost passwords. Help desk managers would like to reduce this burden, especially when faced with a rising number of users und tight service levels.

Users, however, equally do not like involved help desk procedures for resetting their passwords before continuing their job. As a worst case response, they will simply jot down their passwords on a piece of paper which is then left at their desk.

Users want less passwords and a simple process for resetting them.

Our Solution
With SAM PR, forgotten passwords are no longer a problem - neither for the end-user nor for the help desk administrator. SAM PR, a Web-based user self-service component, allows users to immediately reset their passwords themselves. This makes most password-related user help desk calls obsolete.

SAM PR is based on a configurable challenge-and-response procedure. Authentication questions can be specified or users can define questions themselves within the framework of predefined rules. Speedy installation and easy maintenance make the component productive in a very short time, and the simple handling assures acceptance by the end user.

If used in combination with SAM PS, one single reset is all it takes to be online again in all connected systems.
